i've used estee lauder make-up for as long as i can remember...its the same foundation my mum uses, so i sort copied her when i was younger! i have really oily skin and i find that double wear is one of the only foundations that actually stays in place all day/night. it's a really nice creamy consistency and gives a full coverage with a matt finish which is great for oily skin. estee lauder describe the foundation as medium coverage but i would definitely say it is more a full coverage make-up -it hides all imperfections and gives your skin a really flawless finish. I use the powder sparingly over the top of the foundation to blot my t-zone - i think if you used the powder too heavily you can end up looking cakey which is never a good thing!
i bought my Double Wear liquid foundation (30ml) for £27.50 and Double Wear Powder Compact (13g) £27 from House of Fraser which is a fairly average price compared to other high-end make-up brands. ive always believed that if you're putting something on your face, it's worth the investment to make sure its of good quality! A bottle of this foundation also lasts a long time as you only need a small amount due to its thick consistency. the only real criticism i have is the glass bottle - whilst it looks beautiful and adds a classy finish - it can be real hard to get the foundation out when its started to run out and sometimes i end up pouring to much out! i'd love if it had a pump on the top so you could get the correct amount out without having to judge it by pouring!
which foundation do you use?
can you recommend a long-lasting foundation?
I adore doublewear foundation but I have had to buy it in three colours which is gutting! I have got the shell which they took off the shelves for a while but are - thankfully - bringing back, and then I have the shell beige and the tawny because I fake tan so much. It's an expensive habit! I completely agree with you about this foundation:)xx
