I recently posted a round-up of the foodie Valentine's Day offerings in London which proved popular so I've decided to write up a second edition for Mother's Day! I always get my mum an 'experience' gift - something which we can actually do together so I've included the things I'll be considering below:
Marley Spoon
Marley Spoon have
teamed up
with chef Ben Tish to create a special menu available for home
deliverty. You select the dish, and they'll send you all the ingredients
and rstep-by-step instructions so you can recreate it at hme. I've got
my eye on these deliciously marinated lamb chops, roasted aubergine,
and charred broccoli – topped off with a fantastic pomegranate dressing.
That’s better than a bunch of flowers right? www.marleyspoon.co.uk

Perhaps the ideal present for my mum and I to enjoy. Spanning over two and a half hours, and with seven tasting on the route, this tour takes you on a trip through the finest bakeries and dessert boutiques the Capital has to offer. Highlights along the route include macarons at Laduree, a pitstop at the Hummingbird Bakery and finishing up at world renowned Fortnum & Mason.

Konditor & Cook
With a loyal following, this London based cake shop prides itself on some of the best cakes the Capital has to offer. For Mother's Day, they are offering a class for two at its Cake School - where you will learn some basic icing techniques before creating designs on shortbread biscuits and a gingerbread family. You'll also each receive a Mini Curly Whirly (a sharing-sized version of their legendary chocolate cake) to take home which you can practice everything you've learnt. The cake making class is now sold out but you can still buy a 'Best Mum' cake as a treat! A signature sponge big enough to for 8-12 people and decorated in a pink and purple floral design.www.konditorandcook.com

Afternoon Tea
The obvious gift for mums and their children to enjoy! My mum and I regularly meet up to try different afternoon teas around the captial so this makes a perfect gift. The Ham Yard hotel is offering a great Mother's Day package which includes traditional afternoon tea with a cocktail followed by a screening of Oscar-nominated film The Theory of Everything.

Located near Marble Arch, making it perfect for a spot of shopping in Oxford Circus before or after, Sixtyone is offering a special three course Mother’s Day menu with unlimited Prosecco for just £44.50! With a dishes including salmon and prawn raviolo and Cumbrian ox cheek on the menu it’s sure to make a delicious indulgent treat.www.sixtyonerestaurant.co.uk

What have you got planned for Mother's Day? I'd love to hear what you are up to?
